Manchester United’s Aaron Wan-Bissaka Makes Surprise Visit to Former Primary School Reunion

Man Utd star Aaron Wan-Bissaka pleasantly surprised pupils at his former primary school with an unexpected visit during a school reunion event. The school had organized a special afternoon with children’s TV host Ben Shires, who added to the excitement by introducing Wan-Bissaka, a former student of the school and current right-back for Crystal Palace.

The children enthusiastically chanted his name as he participated in a question-and-answer session led by Shires. Wan-Bissaka shared fond memories of his time at the school and expressed gratitude for the warm welcome.

During the event, three lucky students were invited on stage to participate in a football-related quiz to test their knowledge. As a parting gift, Wan-Bissaka presented the school with a signed shirt that he had worn in a game. Reflecting on the visit, Wan-Bissaka mentioned that he hadn’t expected such a warm welcome and appreciated the opportunity to reconnect with his past.

Having attended the school a decade ago, Wan-Bissaka was recognized by teachers who remembered him as a great kid with a passion for football. Elaine Snow, who had been his teacher assistant in year six, fondly recalled his enthusiasm for the sport. Wan-Bissaka expressed his joy at revisiting New Addington, where he grew up, and mentioned that the framed shirt would serve as a lasting memory of the special occasion.

The school cleaner, Colm Conneely, shared his delight at seeing Wan-Bissaka again after all these years, highlighting the player’s positive behavior during his time at the school and the personal touch of remembering his name. The unexpected visit brought joy to both current students and staff, creating lasting memories for everyone involved.
